Latin America, Central America, South America… the Americas have so much beauty. Tucked away in each country are connections to a colonized past, an ancient cultures on the fridge of there preserved traditions and existence, and amazing cultures varying from country to country. Like southeast Asia, there is a chance to expand your tasting palette, witness amazing traditions and customs as well as explore beautiful terrains that span from warm white sand beaches, rainforests, mountains, glaciers or deserts. (And that’s just Peru!) I invite you to check out our southern neighbors and challenge you to really get to know a culture, because it isn’t as our media portrays. The scope and intent of shooting in Latin America sheds light on the kind souls that I’ve met through my time and interactions. I’ve many shared meals and small talks with people throughout the region and it seemed right to document the genuine connection and honesty between my subjects. As they look into my lens or exchange with another, the honesty should be conveyed through the image.
